Orbs and other Photographic Anomalies

Based on the premise that many eyes may see more than fewer, modeled after the simple and popular Hot Or Not website, and taking cue from the many EastGhost members who post their anomalous photographs in search of others' opinions, Orb|Not ("orb or not") allows quick uploading of and fast feedback on photos. Photos, facts and trivia also appear in Guess the Haunted Locations challenges.

St. Mary's Historical Society

Moll Dyer the Witch

An 875 lb. boulder sits in front of the Historical Society. This is the rock to which Moll Dyer (the witch who driven out into the freezing cold) had her hand frozen onto just before she froze to death. Townsfolk, believing her to be a witch, had burned down her cabin. Moll froze to death and was found with her hand frozen to the rock. When they removed her body, it is said, the impressions of her knees and hands were left on the stone. Though this happened more than three hundred years ago her handprints may still sometimes be seen on the rock.
